Tony and Yen both came from big cities; New York and Boston. Both moved to Baltimore about 9 years ago for work. However, they never crossed paths until 2019 at a volleyball league they had joined separately. It wasn’t love at first sight, in fact, it was quite the opposite. After their first game, the team went out to a bar together. Everyone was socializing and getting to know each other. But Yen showed no interest and Tony wasn’t impressed. Later that night she saw Tony’s profile on a dating app and swiped left (means no thank u, next).
Fortunately, fate had other plans. After the second game, none of their teammates showed up at the bar except for the two of them. This time they talked, laughed, and danced like no one else was there. Yen has never felt so comfortable with anyone like this before. By the end of the night Tony locked it in with a kiss, and knew he was kissing the love of his life.
Fast forward to July 11th, 2021, Tony surprised Yen with the ride of her life, a hot air balloon ride through the suburban fields of Greensboro, Maryland. And just before they floated up, Tony got down on one knee and popped the question. It was Yen’s easiest YES and happiest day of their lives.
Please join them to celebrate their love as they embark on a new journey together as husband and wife.
